order to help individuals maintain an optimum level of physical ability, intellectual function and social interaction,
various programs are offered at the Centre:
Therapeutic Recreation Activities
Exercise Programs
Aphasia Programs
Foot Care Clinics are offered once a month for a nominal fee and appointments are necessary.
Support and Information for Caregivers. We understand that the role of caregiver can be demanding and overwhelming at times. Research shows that family members and other caregivers who are well informed, and who feel supported, are better able to be caregivers and experience less anxiety. Our staff are knowledgeable about caregiving roles, and can provide you with local resources and information.
We offer a monthly caregiver support group facilitated by a staff member and social worker. This group runs year round on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm. For more information, call 519-753-1882 and ask for Karyn.
We also offer a monthly Living With Aphasia support
group to assist people with aphasia and their families
and friends. The group is co-facilitated by a speech-language
pathologist and social worker. The group runs monthly from
October - June, on the first Thursday
of the month from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. For more

Caregivers of Stroke Survivors are invited to
participate in an education and support
program and research study. Free
respite offered. Sept - Oct at
ARTC.

Client Fees. There is a nominal fee attached to the adult day program. For more information about this, please contact the Centre directly.

ARTC satellite program at the Willett in Paris is now offered Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Caregiver support group meetings take place the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 at ARTC in Brantford.
Living with Aphasia support group takes place the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 at ARTC in Brantford (Oct - June).
